Oliver Heimach & OHEI Productions: Explained

In May of 2015, I began to learn music production and as I did, I realized a few things.

1. Music production and songwriting is truly my creative home.

2. I want to write for myself as well as for other artists.

3. I want to brand these new endeavors outside of my own name to help me let go of who I think I am supposed to be, and allow the music to define this newfound path.

(Also, there are 10,000,000 Alex Halls in the world. And many of them (us?) are successful in their own fields. Athletes, scientists, musicians. Google it.)

So I came up with a name, Oliver Heimach. It combines my paternal grandmother's maiden name with my maternal grandmother's family name. Oliver is also one of my middle names. Cool, eh?

So here's how it works:

Music I plan to release as a solo artist, I will release under Oliver Heimach. (OliverHeimach.com, @OliverHeimach on socials)

OHEI Productions a blanket label is for material that is a work in progress, or songs that I feel will be best fit to be recorded/performed by another artist.

So while it might seem like I'm having an identity crisis, I like to think of it more like as an adventure in branding.
